In our town it was called "Junior Set." It was where a bunch of pubescent boys stood
on one side of the room breaking each other up making fart sounds while checking out a bunch of dressed-up, giggling
girls on the other side of the room.
Once in a while, they made you dance with the girls . . . . but not TOO close. This song was a favorite.
